ELGIN, Ill. — Brian Towns, a widely respected sales professional with extensive experience in the original equipment engine valvetrain category, has joined Elgin Industries as director of OEM sales. Towns will report to Elgin President Bill Skok.
Towns joins Elgin from GT Technologies, where he served in a series of roles of increasing responsibility for more than 31 years. In his new position, he will oversee Elgin’s continued growth in the automotive and heavy duty OEM engine markets. The company is a premier supplier of push rods and other internal engine parts for global engine and vehicle manufacturers.
“We continue to invest in advanced engineering and manufacturing resources to serve existing and new OEM customers. Adding Brian to our team enables us to build stronger customer relationships and more fully leverage our extensive U.S.-based design and production operations,” Skok said.
A 1979 graduate of the University of Toledo, Towns resides in Perrysburg, Ohio.
