Brent Raschke Joins the Bosal ACPS Division as Project Engineer

Raschke will head up engineering and development of new trailer hitch program.

YPSILANTI, Mich. – Bosal North America Inc. has appointed Brent Raschke as project engineer for its Automotive Carriers and Protection Systems (ACPS) division. The company produces an innovative line of trailer hitches and windstops for both OEM and aftermarket applications. The division was originally established as part of a joint venture between Bosal International N.V. and ORIS GmbH of Germany.

Raschke will be responsible for product and vehicle application development and testing for Bosal’s tow hitch program, which features a patented hidden design. He also will be responsible for development of the company’s aftermarket exhaust and windstop programs.

According to John Tiger, director of sales for the Bosal ACPS Division, Raschke was the ideal choice for Bosal’s new hitch product line.

“I worked with Brent at both Valley Towing Products and Cequent Towing Systems and can attest to his capabilities and dedication,” Tiger said. “Brent is a highly talented engineer and has a great deal of experience in leading engineering teams in the development and launch of towing systems and cargo management accessories. He is also adept at developing the testing criteria and methods we will need to comply with our industry’s standards."

Raschke has been a project engineer at Bosal since early 2010 and is based out of Bosal International North America’s research and development facility in Ypsilanti, Mich. Before joining Bosal, he was a product manager for Valley Towing Products from 2009 to 2010. Prior to that, he worked at Cequent Towing Systems, where he was an engineering manager from 2003 to 2008 and a design engineer from 2001 to 2003.
