BP Lubricants USA Selects Datalliance as Platform for Vendor Managed Inventory Program

BP Lubricants USA markets premium lubricants and business-building programs directly to leading retailers, independent lube operators, service providers and new car dealers.

CINCINNATI — Datalliance announced that BP Lubricants USA Inc. has selected Datalliance VMI as the platform for their Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) program.

BP Lubricants USA markets premium lubricants and business–building programs directly to leading retailers, independent lube operators, service providers and new car dealers. Brands include Castrol conventional, high-mileage, synthetic blend and all-synthetic motor oils, as well as a range of commercial transport lubricants. BP Lubricants USA is a regional unit of Castrol, the UK-based lubricants firm owned by the global oil company, BP.

“We see Vendor Managed Inventory as a win-win for both our customers and ourselves,” said Eric Aronowitz, BP Lubricants, USA Retail Solutions and Offer manager. “The goal of our VMI program is to work even more closely with key customers to jointly build sales while at the same time improving inventory asset utilization.  We chose Datalliance VMI as the foundation for our VMI program because Datalliance has a proven track record of helping companies launch successful VMI programs across many different industries.  We also like the fact that Datalliance VMI is delivered using the Software-as-a-Service approach, enabling us to get up and running much more quickly and cost-effectively.”

Bob Jennings, Datalliance VP of Sales and Marketing, stated: “We’re excited to have BP Lubricants as the newest member of our automotive and heavy-duty industry community.  We look forward to working with them and their customers to support their VMI program.”

Other Datalliance customers in the automotive and heavy duty industry include leaders such as Baldwin Filters, Bendix, Champion Laboratories, Dayton Parts, Federal Mogul, Goodyear Engineered Products, Haldex, Meritor, SKF and many others.
