WAYNE, NJ — BP Lubricants Americas recently released a new product, Castrol GTX Diesel 15w-40 oil for passenger cars and light truck diesel engines.

A revitalization of diesel engines within the passenger car and light truck markets means installers, retailers and consumers will see increased need for oil changes, according to BP Lubricants. Many car and light truck manufacturers are launching diesel engines in the U.S. and experts expect this category to grow as lighter diesel engines are available which are more environmentally conscious, have improved fuel economy and increased horsepower over the diesel engines of the past.

To tap into this growing market, BP Lubricants Americas has launched Castrol GTX Diesel 15w-40 oil. The product is engineered to protect the engine from piston deposits, oil thickening and valve train wear, while minimizing the formation of engine sludge through the use of anti-wear additives, anti-oxidants and detergents.
