Bosch Promotes Platinum Spark Plugs with Rebate Offer, Sweepstakes

Robert Bosch Corp. hopes to draw customer attention to the advantages of installing Bosch Platinum spark plugs with its new "Get the Big Picture" sweepstakes. The promotion gives customers a chance to win an RCA 61-inch DLP HDTV, in addition to a 60 cent rebate on the purchase of four Platinum Spark Plugs.

BROADVIEW, IL — Robert Bosch Corp. hopes to draw customer attention to the advantages of installing Bosch Platinum spark plugs with its new “Get the Big Picture” sweepstakes. The promotion gives customers a chance to win an RCA 61-inch DLP HDTV, in addition to a 60 cent rebate on the purchase of four Platinum Spark Plugs.

“Auto parts retailers participating in this exciting rebate and sweepstakes promotion will see a healthy increase in customer awareness, traffic and sales of Platinum Spark Plugs,” said Pam Krebs, director of advertising and sales promotion for Robert Bosch Corp.

The “Get The Big Picture” theme also serves to draw attention to the many benefits of tuning up with Platinum Spark Plugs, encouraging return sales and continued customer loyalty, said Krebs. “Improved fuel efficiency, longer life and proven performance are all part of the big picture that makes for a wonderful driving experience with Bosch Platinum Spark Plugs,” she said.

The 60 cent rebate offer is designed to generate multiple purchases of Platinum Spark Plugs — up to 24 spark plugs with a total rebate value of $14.40, per household. Customers who meet the purchase requirements and mail in their rebate request cards are automatically entered into the sweepstakes; however, no purchase is required to enter. The winner will be determined by a random drawing of all eligible entries.

The offer is good for purchases made through December 24. Rebate requests must be postmarked by December 31 and received by January 15, 2005. Complete details on the rebate offer and sweepstakes are provided on the official mail-in request card.

The grand prize in the “Get The Big Picture” sweepstakes includes an RCA 61-inch diagonal 16×9 DLP HDTV with Integrated ATSC Tuner, Hi-Pix Picture System, NetConnect and 30-Watt Audio System with SRS TruSurround XT; Home Theatre Music Jukebox; DVD Home Theater Receiver; and Digital Recorder (approximate prize value is $6,050).
