Bond Auto Parts Stores Raise More Than $30,000 For Local Food Shelves

BARRE, Vt. – Bond Auto Parts Inc., a Vermont-based aftermarket distribution company, created a fundraising mission during this past holiday season and raised $30,525 for local food shelves across its network of stores. Food shelves across the region are typically hit hard during the holiday season and the money raised can go to purchasing food to replenish their shelves or help run their programs. Bond Auto’s 45 store locations throughout Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts and New York worked hard along with their customers to raise the funds. Each store started raising funds just before Thanksgiving and had until Dec. 31 to raise as much as they could to donate to a local food shelf within their community. The company exceeded its $25,000 goal.

“Bond Auto and our employees work hard at being part of the fabric of each of their communities,” stated Scott Bond, president and CEO. “Each store manager identified a food shelf within their local community to support and together their store team worked hard at raising the funds.”

People who came into any Bond Auto Parts store and made a $5 food shelf donation received a $10 off coupon valid at any Bond Auto store for a future purchase.

“Our customer base traditionally is very good about supporting our charitable missions throughout the year,” said Mark Mast, VP of marketing. “We felt that creating a come-back coupon would give something back to our customers too.”

Now that the program has wrapped up, Bond will be forwarding the donations to a food shelf in each stores’ local community.
