BOLT ON TECHNOLOGY Wins Innovation Award

The greater Philadelphia-based company creates wireless technologies to boost efficiencies and profits at automotive repair shops.

BOLT ON TECHNOLOGY was recently selected from hundreds of automotive tech solution providers to rank in the top 20 in CIO Review Magazines Most Promising Automotive Tech Solution Providers.

Bolt On was recognized in the magazine’s March issue for providing automotive repair shops with mobile solutions to make business more efficient and data retrieval seamless. Since beginning in 2008, Bolt On Technology has created more than a dozen solutions to power the automotive repair industry. The company’s most popular development, Mobile Manager Pro, is a wireless mobile technology designed to boost shop efficiencies and profitability via advanced VIN scanning, digital multi-point inspection and the ability to take and send photos to customers as part of the vehicle diagnosis.

“We at Bolt On Technology are relentless in our drive to consistently improve operations at automotive repair shops,” said Mike Risich, CEO. “We have seen shops increase profits by 15 percent or more, simply with the ability to prepare digitally what they once had to write out with pen and paper.”

CCC Report Analyzes Labor Pressures, Vehicle Complexity

CCC Intelligent Solutions Inc. (CCC) announced it has published its 2024 Crash Course Report, which indicates that increasing vehicle complexity, combined with rising labor costs and shortages, are placing persistent pressure on both insurers and repairers.

New findings show that while vehicles may be safer, more capable of avoiding crashes and more environmentally friendly, advanced technology is contributing to costlier repairs, higher claims costs and longer cycle times. Additional factors, such as scheduling backlogs, have contributed to the 60% increase in the amount of time it takes for vehicles to enter repair shops after estimate completion, compared to pre-pandemic times.
