B’laster Holdings announced plans to transition to a four-day work week, as opposed to the traditional 5-five-day work week. The new shortened work week will be a beta run for the 2022 Summer with plans to integrate four days into the normal work schedule by Fall of 2022, the company says. The new hours will be implemented by the week of June 6th.
B’laster says it will not ask the office employees to work additional hours Monday through Thursday, but has plans to continue to ship products five days a week to continue servicing the needs of their customers.
Along with the shortened week, B’laster says it is also introducing a hybrid, work-from-home schedule to give employees added flexibility and increased work-life balance, while maintaining productivity and retention. This modern schedule will also help B’laster to compete with larger companies when recruiting talent as the company continues to grow.
“We have a great deal of trust in our employees, which is why we can make this work,” explained President & CEO, Randy Pindor. “By introducing the new schedule, we are showing our team that we trust them to get their jobs done while upholding productivity. We know our employees have responsibilities outside of work, so we are doing our best to ensure more free time and a better work-life balance. We intend to one-up flexibility in the workplace with this move.”
