Automotive aftermarket supplier BG Automotive (BGA) is introducing 21 new product references this month across its timing chain, crankshaft pulley, gasket, cylinder head cover, valves and its steering & suspension range.
Timing chain reference TC2744FK has been added, covering popular applications such as Hyundai i20 2015 onwards and Kia Rio 2015 onwards. BGA says its timing chains are subjected to various testing procedures:
TENSILE TESTING OF CHAINS
Chains are subjected to control pulling force with a range of different parameters measured, presented as a line graph showing elongation, yield point, maximum operating load and maximum load against the OE alternative, ensuring quality is matched.
VVT FUNCTION TESTING – OUTPERFORM THE ORIGINAL
The VVT is mounted in a bespoke fixture, which enables real world evaluation of torque performance, critical to its operation within the engine valve train.
TENSIONER SPRING RATE TEST
This test evaluates the core element of the tensioner [the spring] as the spring is responsible for more than 90% of the applied tension to the chain. Performance specification is critical.
GUIDE SIZING
CMM Machines are utilized to evaluate guide sizing against OE, guaranteeing an original specification alignment and fitment.
Twelve new references have been added to BGA’s Steering & Suspension range, covering popular models such as Audi, VW, Citroen, Peugeot, Vauxhall/Opel, Ford & Tesla. SC0100 reference has been released for Tesla Model S 2014 onwards and is one of the many planned aftermarket references for the electric automotive market. Reference TRC01055 covers models such as Audi E-Tron 2018 onwards, Audi Q7 2018 onwards and VW Touareg.
Our market-leading technologies such as induction hardening, CNC machining, cataphoresis and our high-capacity forging facility ensures that our Steering & Suspension references have the highest standard of rust resistance in comparison to our competitors.
