Bendix Online Brake School Reports User Milestone

Bendix-LogoELYRIA, Ohio – As the Bendix Online Brake School nears completion of its second year, the online technical training site continues to expand its offerings to a growing number of participants. Since March 2013, when Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems LLC established brake-school.com, the training portal has delivered more than 750,000 courses to registered users. Total registration has reached more than 25,000 users from more than a dozen countries. According to Bendix, the site is frequently updated, with nearly 20 additional courses developed and added to the curriculum in the past 12 months alone.

“We now offer more than 50 courses through the Bendix Online Brake School, all available 24/7/365 through free registration,” said Barbara Gould, Bendix director of corporate communications. “And we have a full menu of new courses scheduled for development and release throughout 2015, including videos from our popular Bendix Tech Talk Series at the Mid-America Trucking Show. The level of interest we’re seeing from drivers, technicians, distributors, fleets and owner-operators reinforces the value and importance of providing easily accessible, in-depth technical training across the industry. Nearly every day, we hear from individuals who have completed one or more courses at brake-school.com providing positive feedback and requests to keep the content coming.”

Bendix, a leading North American provider of active safety and braking system technologies for commercial vehicles, also develops customized training through its Online Brake School, offering specialized programs for companies and organizations like UPS and HDA Truck Pride. In addition, the in-person Bendix Brake Training School is one of the industry’s longest-running training programs. In total, more than 250,000 people have successfully completed Bendix’s in-person and computer-driven training, logging more than 350,000 student training hours during the past 10 years alone.
