Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems LLC is hosting the Tech Talk Series at the Mid-America Trucking Show. The company aims to offer an opportunity for attendees to boost their knowledge in topics ranging from air dryer performance to brake maintenance. New this year is a look at the trucking industry’s pathway to an automated future, including the role that drivers will play.
Continuing the tradition established with its launch in 2011, the Tech Talk Series features Bendix product and service experts offering how-to demonstrations, interactive question-and-answer sessions and discussions of the issues and technologies shaping the commercial vehicle industry.
The 15-minute Tech Talks, open to all show attendees, begin at 11 a.m., Thursday, March 23, and extend through the final session scheduled for 3 p.m. on Friday, March 24. All scheduled Tech Talks will take place at Bendix’s booth, No. 32175, in the South Hall.
“With the industry constantly changing, from technologies to regulations, the ‘must-see’ Bendix Tech Talks offer a unique forum for people throughout the trucking business drivers and fleet operators, OEs and maintenance technicians to discuss the topics that matter most to them,” said Barbara Gould, Bendix director of communications. “In the short space of 15 minutes tops, trucking professionals come away from each session with new insights and practical knowledge gained straight from the experts. Our friends in the industry can take what they learn and apply it directly to their job – whether it be in a maintenance bay, over a balance sheet or on the road.”
Shortly after the close of the Mid-America Trucking Show, the Bendix Tech Talk sessions also will be available as a part of the growing curriculum on brake-school.com, the online training site from Bendix. The online tool allows users to advance their education on their own terms, from the site’s 24/7/365 accessibility to its new level of training flexibility and customization featuring the most current topics. Visitors also will find the sessions on the Bendix YouTube channel, at youtube.com/user/bendixvideos; and in Bendix’s new multimedia center at knowledge-dock.com.
