Bendix Brakes has awarded Vinemont, Al-based technician Rick Holland a new 2004 Ford F150 truck. Holland, a customer of warehouse distributor Walter White and a technician for National Tire & Battery, was the grand prize winner of the brand’s "Drive It Home" scratch and win promotion.

TROY, MI — Bendix Brakes has awarded Vinemont, Al-based technician Rick Holland a new 2004 Ford F150 truck. Holland, a customer of warehouse distributor Walter White and a technician for National Tire & Battery, was the grand prize winner of the brand’s “Drive It Home” scratch and win promotion.

The national “Drive It Home” promotion was launched late last year to generate excitement and sales of Bendix premium branded brake products at the installer level. It is the largest installer-based promotion the brand has launched in its history, with more than 27,000 prizes available.

From Oct. 1 through Dec. 31, 2003, installers who purchased Bendix branded brake pads, drums, rotors and hydraulics from participating WDs received a quantity of “Drive It Home” scratch-off tickets redeemable for instant win prizes. All game piece recipients were automatically eligible to win the grand prize — a 2004 Ford F150 truck, customized by Bendix Brakes.

As part of the prize package, Holland and his wife were flown to Honeywell Friction Materials’ headquarters and awarded the keys to his new vehicle by company President Joe Puishys. Holland has been employed at National Tire & Battery, an industry-leading tire retailer that specializes in tire and battery replacement, since 1997. He has more than 20 years of automotive experience as a technician and is ASE-certified in brakes, front-end, suspension and electrical.
