SMYRNA, TN — Beck/Arnley has established a special Marketing Advisory Council to assist with future product, marketing and communication efforts.

The new Marketing Advisory Council will include top Beck/Arnley sales and marketing personnel, associates from its marketing agencies and select members of its customer base. The council will meet twice a year to examine issues and current technology in an effort to improve its customers’ businesses, maximize marketing tools and provide what it called “cutting edge solutions” to industry issues.

According to Scott Howat, director of brand marketing for Beck/Arnley, the company will initially be directed toward distributors, focusing on growth within the foreign nameplate sector of the aftermarket.

“The plan is to include the successful elements of previous Beck/Arnley programs, but adding new, personalized elements will make it equally attractive for distributors, jobbers, and technicians,” said Howat. “This council will enable us to determine our best course of action to make this not only a useful program, but a successful one as well.”

The inaugural council meeting was held May 13-15, in Nashville, Tenn. During the meeting, members of the Beck/Arnley marketing and communications team presented plans and promotional concepts. The council evaluated and assisted the marketing group with program enhancements focused on customers. Beck/Arnley product managers also gave a presentation on new products and categories that will be introduced.
