AWDA Approves New Strategic Plan

AWDA Approves New Strategic Plan

A central theme of AWDA’s new strategic plan is the intent to become more integrated and influential within the Auto Care Association. AWDA joined forces with the Auto Care Association in 2004 and has since emerged as a critical and highly involved community in the larger association.

The Automotive Warehouse Distributors Association (AWDA) Council of Governors recently approved an updated strategic plan that outlines priorities for the organization’s future.

Created over a period of several months by a dedicated team of volunteer leaders, the new plan details the direction that AWDA will take in its role as representative and advocate for the auto care industry’s distribution sector. AWDA says it will quickly move ahead with the strategies and tactics outlined in the plan.

A central theme of AWDA’s new strategic plan is the intent to become more integrated and influential within the Auto Care Association. AWDA joined forces with the Auto Care Association (formerly AAIA) in 2004 and has since emerged as a critical and highly involved community in the larger association. With the new plan’s release, AWDA’s volunteer leaders have committed to further enhancing that relationship.

“The council of governors understands that the pace of change within the entire auto care industry is accelerating and it is imperative that AWDA becomes an even more integral part of the Auto Care Association and, by extension, the auto care industry,” said Bobby Segal, CEO, Automotive Supply Associates Inc. and current chairman, AWDA. “The members of AWDA already share many of the Auto Care Association’s key priorities. However, as AWDA broadens and strengthens its relationship with Auto Care, we anticipate the emergence of new synergies and opportunities to collaborate that were previously unthinkable.”
