AVS and LUND Accessories, two divisions of Lund International, are the Official Exterior Accessories of the 2018 Hot Rod Power Tour – one of the largest traveling car show in the world, which began on June 9 in Bowling Green, Kentucky. At the tour’s final stop, AVS will be announcing the winner of its custom 2018 Dodge Challenger SCAT Pack and the two LUND support trucks will travel with the tour participants providing assistance for anyone that has mechanical trouble.
The “AVS Supercharged All-American Car Sweepstakes” was announced at the 2017 SEMA Show and ran through March 31. Three randomly selected finalists have been chosen to make the trip to the final stop of the tour in Concord, North Carolina, where the finalists will be present on the Midway Main Stage to determine who wins the Challenger and runner-up prizes. The 2017 Dodge Challenger has been equipped with a number of upgrades, including an Edelbrock Supercharger, Rotiform 22” wheels, StopTech Brakes, Magnaflow Exhaust system, a Hellwig Suspension Products sway bar, Ringbrothers custom hood pins and custom Katzkin Interior.
LUND Accessories will have a pair of support trucks to follow Power Tour participants providing aid and mechanical support to those who need it. The LUND trucks will be equipped with everything from tools to basic fluids and first-aid kits among others supplies.
Long-haul participants in the Hot Rod Power Tour are traveling more than 1,100 miles and will stop in seven different cities over the course of the week-long show. The tour is expected to draw more than 6,000 hot rods and classic cars and upwards of 100,000 spectators, making this event the largest traveling car show in the world. Over the course of seven days, drivers will travel through Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia and South Carolina before arriving at the final event in Concord, North Carolina. Vehicle registration is open to any year, make or model and the event is free for spectators of all ages.
