AutoZone Adds New Feature to Web Site

AutoZone has added a new function to its Web site -- www.autozone.com -- creating an Internet information portal for both consumers and repair professionals. Designed with the primary purpose of helping consumers connect with quality repair shops, the portal includes a “Find-A-Shop” tab that allows users to search for professional automotive repair shops nationwide by entering their zip codes.

Designed with the primary purpose of helping consumers connect with quality repair shops, the portal includes a “Find-A-Shop” tab that allows users to search for professional automotive repair shops nationwide by entering their zip codes. All shops listed are “ProCarCareZone” members that use ALLDATA repair information and solutions in their businesses or purchase parts from AutoZone Commercial, AutoZone’s wholesale program. Many shops listed are “Platinum ProCarCareZone” members, offering online appointment scheduling as well as e-newsletter and maintenance reminder services to their customers. All shops listed benefit from exposure on major Internet search engines as well as exposure to affiliate partner site traffic.

The “For the Professional” tab of the portal is the gateway to professional automotive services, including AutoZone Commercial, ALLDATA and ProCarCareZone. AutoZone Commercial provides 72-hour no-core-charge and 48-hour labor warranty claims processing programs and ALLDATA repair information as well as online parts ordering through AZ PartsConnect. The new ALLDATA is “shop management re-invented,” offering integrated information technology that boosts shop performance at every stage of the repair process. ProCarCareZone, web-based tools to build and maintain customer relationships, is the newest addition to the ALLDATA suite.

The “Do-it-Yourself” portal tab connects users with AutoZone’s flagship retail products and services for the automotive enthusiast, including special offers for online shoppers.

“AutoZone is committed to addressing the needs of all those who seek automotive repair information and services and to driving more business to our professional customers,” said Jeff Lagges, ALLDATA general manager and AutoZone vice president. “The portal is a reflection of our overall commitment to the health of the automotive aftermarket industry and our goal of enhancing the consumer’s experience of the automotive repair process. Whether you’re a “do-it-yourself” customer, you’re seeking the services of a professional shop or you are an automotive repair professional, the portal will be valuable to your success.”
