Autopromotec 2015 Bologna Expected To Be Most Internationally Oriented Show Yet

Next to international promotion activities that already took place in the first half of 2014 in Brazil, Turkey, Vietnam and Indonesia, as well as in the main European countries, Autopromotec organizers recently signed new collaboration agreements that will enhance the international flair of the show.

BOLOGNA, Italy — Autopromotec 2015, the specialized international exhibition of automotive equipment and aftermarket products set for May 20-24, 2015, at the Bologna Trade Fair Center, is expected to be the most internationally oriented edition ever, according to event organizers. Next to international promotion activities that already took place in the first half of 2014 in Brazil, Turkey, Vietnam and Indonesia, as well as in the main European countries, the organizers recently signed new collaboration agreements that they say will enhance the international flair of the show.

The promotion will pursue two main goals: first, to widen the show’s global appeal through increased international buyer attendance, through collective areas hosting developing countries — now so important for business growth strategies — and through an increased presence of international exhibitors, show organizers say. Secondly, to make the excellence and specificity of the Italian automotive aftermarket known at a global level, which is now essential for the survival of sector companies.

The new show promotion activities undertaken by organizers Promotec can be included in four different and well-organized macro areas. First, there are the projects carried out by mutual agreement with the Emilia-Romagna region, which involve Brazil, Turkey, Vietnam and Indonesia.

The list goes on including strategic countries such as Russia, Argentina, Peru and Chile, with targeted mailing and advertising activities that have already translated into buyer delegations coming from those countries. Far East countries will also be involved; roadshows will be held in Vietnam, Indonesia and Thailand, with the main local associations and media representatives in attendance.

The second project the organizers have been working on is the addition of collective areas to bring yet more foreign countries to the show than in the past editions; to this extent, talks with promotion agencies in Mexico and Turkey are underway, while plans for more collective areas are being discussed.

Promotec’s newly opened head office and multifunction automotive center will also be a promotional boost for the show, since it will be hosting important international events, such as the EGEA (European Garage
Equipment Association) General Assembly and many others, which are scheduled from now to 2015 and will involve sector leading companies.

Autopromotec has been also increasing its presence at the most renowned trade fair shows worldwide, including Interauto in Moscow (August) and SEMA Show in Las Vegas (November), where it will be sharing a collective area with AICA member companies promoting the Italian excellence in the aftermarket business.

Institutional relationships with foreign show organizers and associations also have been established for future international projects.
