Automotive Parts Associates Welcomes Morningstar Auto Parts

Morningstar Auto Parts is a locally owned and operated automotive parts store serving the Staten Island area.

Automotive Parts Associates (APA) has announced Morningstar Auto Parts as the newest TruStar member of the APA family.

Morningstar Auto Parts, located in Staten Island, New York, is a locally owned and operated automotive parts store serving the Staten Island area. Frank Visciano, the founding owner, opened the store in 1991. The business is owned and operated by Frank’s sons, Robert and Jason Visciano, Frank’s wife Marie Visciano and Andrew Cambos.

When asked why Morningstar Auto Parts chose to join APA, Cambos commented, “APA was just the right fit for our business.”

“We are proud Morningstar Auto Parts chose APA as their partner for the future. Growing together is not just a slogan for us, it is why we are here. TruStar members get access to data solutions, marketing programs and other tools that they did not have access to as an independent. We are glad Morningstar Auto Parts decided to join us,” said Steve Tucker, APA president.

Despite a tough commercial tire market in 2023 due to overstock and the effects of a rubber-banding supply chain, some tire manufacturers are expressing a cautious optimism for stabilization and gradual recovery through the rest of 2024 and into 2025.

"The economy is not showing signs that it’s going to slow down, but I don’t think the situation’s going to improve dramatically by the end of this year. It’s more likely next year," said Pierluigi Cumo, Vice President of B2B products, at Michelin North America. "We can see the light because the beginning of 2023 was very bad. I think now we’ve found the bottom, and I don’t think we’re going to get much further from the bottom in 2024."
