Automotive Parts Associates Welcomes Faut Automotive

Automotive Parts Associates (APA) has welcomed its newest TruStar member to the APA family.

Faut Automotive is a family-owned business and a full line warehouse, with one location in Chicago, Illinois. After years of working at Xerox, Robert Faut decided to leave that job and open his own business in 1980.

“Joining a buying group such as APA/TruStar gives us access to programs enabling us to keep a competitive edge in the market,” said Luis Crespo, Faut Automotive general manager.

“We are proud Faut Automotive chose APA as their partner for the future. Growing together is not just a slogan for us, it is why we are here. TruStar members get access to Data Solutions, marketing programs and other tools that they did not have access to as an independent. We are glad Robert and Luis have decided to join us,” added Steve Tucker, APA President.

Federated Auto Parts Distributors announced it is entering into a collaboration with the Association of Independent Oil Distributors (AIOD) – one it said will focus on mutual benefits for the respective members.

“Federated is constantly looking at ways to improve value for all constituents and this agreement provides that,” said Sue Godschalk, president of Federated. “This collaboration provides added volume and opportunities for our suppliers, new partners for our members, and added supply points and products for shop customers. We have enjoyed working closely with several AIOD members in the past and this agreement will expand and create further opportunities for both Federated and AIOD.”
