Automotive Parts Associates Elects New Officers

Douglas Squires, CPA, CMA, president and CEO of Colonial Auto Parts/A.P.M. Ltd. and chairman of the board of Bestbuy Distributors Ltd., replaces Mike Maloof as chairman of the board.

Automotive Parts Associates (APA) has announced its new officers, elected by its board of directors on Aug. 15.

Douglas Squires, CPA, CMA, president and CEO of Colonial Auto Parts/A.P.M. Ltd. and chairman of the board of Bestbuy Distributors Ltd., replaces Mike Maloof as chairman of the board. Ben Yelowitz, chief financial officer and treasurer of POJA Warehouse, replaces Douglas Squires as treasurer.

“Mike Maloof resigned as chairman, due to the sale of his business. He’s been an exemplary representative for APA’s shareholders during his service to the board of directors,” said Jim Holmquist, secretary of APA’s board and owner of H & H Wholesale Parts.

Rob Jacobs, president of Automotive Warehouse Co. continues as vice chair and completes APA’s executive committee.

Jessica Hu, CPO of CW Bearing U.S.A. Inc., has announced that Greg Sturm has joined the company as vice president of sales and the North American Aftermarket Business unit leader.

An aftermarket veteran, Sturm was recently the global aftermarket sales manager for Maximatecc, a division of CentroMotion. Prior to that, he spent 14 years with the Timken Co. of Canton, Ohio, in assorted management positions, including product management, sales and engineering. Sturm has a Mechanical Engineering degree from The University of Akron and Business Management degree from Walsh University. His earlier career included time with GE Capital, Wells Fargo Financial and Schaeffler Transmission Systems.
