Auto Supplier Experts To Discuss Automotive Electrification Obstacles, Remedies And Strategies At 2019 NAIAS AutoMobili-D Industry Days Panel 

What's the outlook for electrified vehicles? What is delaying their widespread adoption and what are automotive suppliers doing to overcome these obstacles? These questions will be answered at a special industry panel to be held during Industry Days at the 2019 NAIAS exhibition. 

What’s the outlook for electrified vehicles? What is delaying their widespread adoption and what are automotive suppliers doing to overcome these obstacles? These questions will be answered at a special industry panel to be held during Industry Days at the 2019 NAIAS exhibition.

The panel, titled “eMobility: What Are We Waiting For? Overcoming Obstacles for Mass Adoption,” will feature high-level supplier executives discussing the challenges and opportunities that electrification holds for new and traditional automotive suppliers.

The presentation is slated for 1-1:45 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 17 at the main Atrium Stage within Cobo Center in Detroit.

The panel will be moderated by supplier strategy expert Paul Eichenberg, managing director of Paul Eichenberg Strategic Consulting. He will set the stage for the discussion with an overview of how the shift away from internal combustion engines will disrupt a $400-billion market in the coming 10 to 15 years.

Other panelists include:

  • Jon Husby, president and CEO of SEG Automotive North America LLC;
  • Sujit Jain, president, Powertrain Solutions – Passenger Cars & Electric Vehicles, Bosch USA; and
  • Jeff Lowinger, president – eMobility for Eaton Corp.
