Auto Plus Virtual Event Focuses On Empowering Jobbers To Succeed

Auto Plus Virtual Event Aimed To Empower Jobbers

Interactive, three-day experience featured keynote presentations, training sessions, a virtual trade show and giveaway.

Auto Plus, a leading automotive aftermarket parts distributor in the U.S., welcomed nearly 450 independent jobbers to its first-ever virtual customer event, April 27-29, 2021. The event was designed to connect customers with the Auto Plus leadership team and more than 40 manufacturer partners to share business updates and opportunities to empower jobbers to succeed in today’s dynamic business environment.

“We were thrilled to host this event and share our focus on growing our premium brand-name product offering and programs to help independent Auto Plus customers succeed,” said Chris Cox, president and CEO, Auto Plus. “With our new Vision, Mission and Values as our foundation, Auto Plus team members are more energized than ever to deliver on our customer Promise: ‘We exceed expectations with expertise at every turn.’”

The event kicked off with a keynote presentation, “Auto Plus Business Overview and Aftermarket Automotive Industry Trends,” by Cox and Mike Buzzard, Auto Plus vice president, Commercial Marketing and Independent Sales.

“Our goal was to create an industry-leading event to prepare our jobber customers for the summer selling season and beyond and equip them with new product and promotional opportunities to drive their business,” Buzzard said.

Additional presentations by the Auto Plus leadership team focused on the Company’s refreshed branding, new Vision, Mission and Values and the introduction of the customer Promise – all to help rally team members to continue to deliver superior customer service. Also highlighted were the Company’s product updates and supply chain optimization initiative, which is enhancing parts delivery accuracy and efficiency in core commercial markets.

Training sessions were hosted daily by Auto Plus and presenting sponsors, including DRiV (Garage Gurus, Monroe, MOOG, Wagner, Walker, Fel-Pro and Champion), Gates, Standard Motor Products, BBB Industries, Dorman, WIX Filters and Delphi Technologies.

The event included a daily virtual trade show experience through which jobber customers interacted with top-tier manufacturers to share Company updates, product information and promotional offers.

The Virtual Trade Show culminated with a grand prize drawing, with Auto Plus customer Fred Pacheco, Action Auto Parts, winning an expenses-paid trip for two to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.

Do you speak spark plug? Most part numbers are a meaningless series of numbers and letters. But spark plugs have a language on the side of the box that can tell you what’s inside. Like any other language, there are dialects.

The nomenclature of spark plug part numbers can tell you everything from size (diameter and reach) to what materials are on the center and ground electrode. Like learning a new language, knowing how to translate spark plug numbers can open up a new way to inventory and sell spark plugs for counter professionals.
