Auto Care Webinar to Examine Ocean Shipping Challenges

The “Ocean Shipping Now and Looking Forward” webinar will take place from 2-3 p.m. EDT. on Wednesday, Aug. 24.

The Auto Care Association will host a live webinar this month to examine the current challenges with ocean shipping and share insights to prepare for what is ahead. The “Ocean Shipping Now and Looking Forward” webinar will take place from 2-3 p.m. EDT. on Wednesday, Aug. 24.

In response to importers continuing to experience disruptions and challenges with freight movement due to a range of issues, four experts will share their take on the challenges and how aftermarket companies can adapt.

Steve Hughes, president and CEO, HCS International, will moderate a discussion with Dr. Noel Hacegaba, deputy executive director, administration and operations for the Port of Long Beach, California; Weston LaBar, head of strategy for Cargomatic; and Peter Tirschwell, vice president, maritime, trade & supply chain, S&P Global, Market Intelligence.

This webinar will include:

  • An overview by the Journal of Commerce/S&P Global
  • Market Intelligence on the current state of ocean shipping
  • Firsthand perspective of current port challenges
  • A look at the current issues related to drayage (trucking)
  • A panel discussion on what to expect now and looking forward

Participants can submit questions for the panel ahead of time during the registration process to have them discussed during the webinar.

This webinar is open to all auto care professionals across the industry supply chain.
