Auto Care Association CEO Bill Hanvey Addresses PRONTO Shareholders Meeting

In his presentation, Hanvey recognized the positive contributions of the independent distributor, while painting an optimistic picture of the aftermarket, reliant on the industry having access to data.

Bill Hanvey, president and CEO, Auto Care Association, delivered a keynote presentation at the National PRONTO Association’s shareholders meeting last week in National Harbor, Maryland. The meeting, which took place Sept. 13-15, was attended by more than 500 PRONTO members, shareholders and guests.

In his presentation, Hanvey recognized the positive contributions of the independent distributor, while painting an optimistic picture of the aftermarket, reliant on the industry having access to data.

“We have reached a critical juncture, and the association is not backing off on our ambition to earn access to vehicle telematics for all of our members,” said Hanvey. “The association has developed a plan of action, including a technical solution, education and advocacy on behalf of the auto care industry. Our industry, and the important impact it has on the economy, will continue to thrive well into the future.”

In addition to telematics, Hanvey discussed the overall state of the auto care industry, as well as the upcoming 2017 Auto Care Legislative Summit, taking place Oct. 3-4 in Washington, D.C.
