ATP Automotive has announced that industry veteran Steve Horn will be stepping down from his full-time position as executive vice president. He will remain with ATP serving as a special adviser and executive emeritus to the organization.
In making the announcement, Roy Lipner, president and CEO, said, “Steve has been an extraordinary executive to our company and a great industry mentor to me. I am thrilled that Steve will continue with ATP as an adviser to our company and to our customers. In the several industries I have been involved in, it is exceedingly rare to meet an individual like Steve, who possess the combination of work ethic, passion and integrity.”
With Horn taking on his new role, ATP also announced that Ty Nilsson will become its new executive vice president. Nilsson’s responsibilities will include strategic sales planning for the company as well as leading our business development team.
In making this announcement, Lipner said, “I am very pleased to announce Ty’s promotion as our next executive vice president. In the short time he has been with ATP, Ty has already had a very positive impact on our company. We are fortunate to have a professional the caliber of Ty as part of our executive team.”
Since entering the business as a field sales rep in 1983, he has held various sales and marketing positions of increasing responsibility. Prior to joining ATP, Nilsson held the position of vice president of sales for MotoRad, joining them in 2008. Nilsson also has held a number of other high-level sales and marketing positions in other companies, including Mark IV Automotive, Champion Laboratories and Arvin Meritor.
