TROY, MI — ArvinMeritor has appointed Joe Mejaly to the position of vice president and general manager of its Commercial Vehicle Aftermarket business, part of the company’s Commercial Vehicle Systems (CVS) business group.
According to Tom Gosnell, senior vice president and president, CVS, Mejaly is now responsible for ArvinMeritor’s commercial vehicle aftermarket global business, including sales, marketing and customer services. The business provides authorized parts outlets with the broadest portfolio of brakes and brake systems, drivelines, suspensions, axles, clutches, tire inflation systems and other truck and trailer components. The parts are offered through the company’s Euclid and Meritor brands.
Mejaly has worked his entire career at ArvinMeritor, joining the company (then Rockwell Automotive) in January 1985. He progressed through positions of increasing responsibility in commercial vehicle marketing, sales and service, including six years at the company’s Florence, Ky., aftermarket distribution center.
“For two decades, Joe has shown that he knows our customers and their component and related services needs, both in aftermarket and new vehicle production,” said Gosnell. “Our management team is proud to have Joe at the helm and is confident that he will successfully lead our global aftermarket team to new heights.”
Before being named to his current position, Mejaly was director of Customer Support for CVS Sales and Marketing in Troy, Mich.
