DENVER — The CENTRIX Financial Grand Prix of Denver announced that Argent Mortgage has signed on as the title sponsor of the Toyota Atlantic race, taking place during the Grand Prix of Denver weekend Aug. 13 to 15, 2004. Argent sponsors car #24 driver, Danica Patrick, who is participating in the Grand Prix.
“We are very pleased to sponsor another exciting Argent Mortgage Toyota Atlantic race and to back one of the brightest young female drivers in the country, Danica Patrick,” said Wayne Lee, president of Argent Mortgage Company. “Our affiliation with the Denver Grand Prix is a perfect fit for Argent. Team work, determination and performance under pressure are integral to the racing world, and are complementary traits that help build trust and efficiency between Argent Mortgage and the mortgage brokers we serve.”
Argent Mortgage, a national mortgage lender, started its Rahal Letterman Racing sponsorship of open-wheel racing driver Danica Patrick in 2003. Currently, Patrick is second in points in her championship. For the 2004 season, she is one of only three drivers to have completed every lap, and she has four top-five results in five races.
“Having a national sponsor such as Argent is a true testament to Denver’s increasing momentum in becoming a motor sport’s town,” said the Grand Prix’s General Manager, John Frew. “Argent supports one of the most thrilling races and one of today’s most exciting drivers, Danica Patrick. Race weekend will truly be three days in the fast lane.”
The CENTRIX Financial Grand Prix of Denver is set for August 13 through August 15. Tickets can be purchased at the Pepsi Center box office, at Ticket Master outlets or online at www.gpdenver.com or www.ticketmaster.com.
