MEMPHIS, TN — Independent Auto Parts of America (IAPA) and the Automotive Distribution Network (ADN), the new group formed by IAPA and Parts Plus, have welcomed ARCH Auto Parts as their newest member.
“We’re proud to welcome ARCH into the IAPA/ADN family,” said Mike Kamal, co-president of the Network. “Thanks to the recent formation of the Network, IAPA has increased its buying power, enabling us to provide ARCH and our other member companies unprecedented strength in the marketplace.”
Established in 1981, ARCH serves more than 1,000 installers from 10 company-owned stores and a 50,000 square foot warehouse headquartered in Hollis, NY. The company’s sales mix is 50/50 installer/retail.
ARCH President Chris Bodh said he is enthusiastic about the IAPA affiliation. “The combination of IAPA’s purchasing power in both branded and Auto Star (private brand), in conjunction with the Automotive Service Professionals (ASP) program, will ensure ARCH Auto Parts, Inc. will continue to grow for many years to come,” said Bodh.
IAPA represents 16 independently owned distribution companies and more than 100 warehouse outlets in 45 states and Canada. The group negotiates more than $1 billion worth of auto parts to more than 4,000 independent auto parts store members and tech centers.
ASP is a national membership-based organization operating under IAPA’s unified marketing umbrella. ASP service centers have access to national management and advertising programs while retaining their independence. They are part of the new ADN, which consists of 51 members and 242 warehouse distributor locations with more than $2 billion in annual sales.
