CHANTILLY, Va. and OXNARD, Calif. Two of the leading international associations have agreed to co-locate their respective expositions at the Riviera Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. Both expos will take place Nov. 1-2.
This development brings together the Powertrain Expo run by the Automatic Transmission Rebuilders Association (ATRA) and the International Big R Show run by the Automotive Parts Remanufacturers Association (APRA).
ATRA’s Executive Director Dennis Madden, said, “We are pleased that we were able to co-locate our exposition at the same time as the International Big R Show, which for the last seven years has been held in Las Vegas just prior to Industry Week featuring the AAPEX and SEMA Shows.”
APRA’s President, Bill Gager, added, “Both of our associations believe very strongly that this will provide each other’s attendees and suppliers with some new opportunities and will help them reach more people. Both associations will continue to offer their broad range of technical seminars and workshops just prior to and during the exposition. We are pleased that the Riviera Hotel was able to accommodate the meeting needs of both associations.”
Madden continued, “This combined exposition will be good news for everyone. Initial comments from potential exhibitors and attendees from both associations have been very positive. Both associations look forward to working together to make this event a major accomplishment in the remanufacturing industry.”
Gager concluded, “We also look forward to welcoming other remanufacturers and rebuilders from a variety of product lines from around the world to this major event.”
High attendance is anticipated for this year’s joint event to see the latest in supplies, equipment, component parts, cores and other services available to the remanufacturing/rebuilding industry. Complete details of each association’s program content will be announced separately in the near future.
