Automotive Parts Associates (APA) and Tru-Star showed up in full force to the AWDA Conference, which took place earlier this month in Las Vegas in conjunction with AAPEX. The group used the opportunity to throw its first-ever cocktail reception and kicked off their 50-year anniversary celebration.
More than 150 APA-TruStar shareholders, members, preferred suppliers and special guests convened at the Stella Studio in the Palazzo Hotel for a private affair with a speakeasy theme. Food, beverages and conversation flowed freely for the two-hour event, renewing friendships while also making new acquaintances. APA-TruStar had the most members ever making the trip to Las Vegas this year to participate in the aftermarket’s largest gathering in North America.
When asked about the event, Steve Tucker, president of APA-TruStar, stated, “Since this was our first cocktail reception, we wanted to grab your attention when you stepped into the room. From the food to the hip flasks and ‘Most Wanted’ posters of our staff and board members, the event really had a special vibe and was just a great way to celebrate industry week.”
