AP Emissions Technologies Group Names Divisional Presidents

Leaders have been named for the company's AP Emissions, Eastern Catalytic and Aristo Coating Technologies divisions.

AP Emissions Technologies Group (AP) has announced the following appointments and promotions:

AP has named Gary Nix as president of its AP Emissions division. Nix has helped build the foundation of AP’s long-term success over the past three decades and will continue to build his legacy as president of AP Emissions.

“Gary has been with me from the beginning at AP, and I am so happy he has accepted the role as President of the AP Emissions division. He is an amazing leader who will guide AP into our future success,” said Vange Proimos, CEO.

In addition, AP has named David Frearson as president of its Eastern Catalytic division. Frearson joins Eastern with more than 20 years of automotive experience, primarily with Cardone Industries, where he was senior vice president of Operational Excellence and Global Engineering. Most recently, he held the title of general manager of Communication Test Design Inc., overseeing all the organization’s business activities with T Mobile.

“I’m excited to be leading the Eastern division and joining the AP team,” said Frearson. “I’m looking forward to making an impact and growing with this great company.”

AP also announced the appointment of Christopher Harris as president of Aristo Coating Technologies. Harris joins Aristo with extensive experience in advanced materials and chemical coatings. He was most recently the CEO of Clean Diesel Technologies. Harris brings a broad background in catalytic coating components and materials for automotive and heavy-duty emissions reduction.

Commenting on the appointments, Proimos added, “Gary, Dave and Chris will continue the legacy of AP’s dominant footprint in the Exhaust and Emissions categories. Their experience and leadership are a perfect fit for our company culture.  They will help us achieve our goals and drive future growth by better serving our customers.”
