CHICAGO and BOLOGNA, Italy All this week, the editorial staff of aftermarketNews.com will present a special afternoon series delivered to AMN subscribers as a special, secondary afternoon edition of AMN, called "AMN on Location," sponsored by Epicor. Our editors will present live snapshots from the show floor at Autopromotec as well as the GAAS and Aftemarket eForum stage, including details from booth visits, interviews, reports on press conferences and other special announcements, as well as colorful photographic slide shows from the show floor. To kick off this week’s coverage, we present recently published interviews with the leaders of these three important events.
Autopromotec 2013 takes place May 22-26, in Bologna, Italy. This bi-annual event hosted more than 103,000 visitors from 190 countries in 2011. This year marks the 25th edition of this international tradeshow for automotive equipment and aftermarket products. In 2011, the tradeshow featured more than 1,400 exhibitors from 50 countries, with foreign exhibitors coming from Germany, China, the U.S., Great Britain, Taiwan, France, Spain and 190 other countries.
AMN Editor Amy Antenora will be in attendance, reporting back with the latest news from the leaders of the international automotive aftermarket scene. Our attendance and coverage of the 2013 event provides AMN readers unique insight into the emerging trends, technologies and exciting new advancements taking place in the European automotive aftermarket.
In addition, Babcox Media Editor Ed Sunkin will be on hand at this year’s Global Symposium, reporting live on the panel discussions and speeches presented by some of the aftermarket’s strongest thought-leaders today. GAAS 2013, "Driving Change," is scheduled for May 21-22 at the Hyatt Regency O’Hare near Chicago. The annual two-day Global Automotive Aftermarket Symposium, now in its 18th year, brings together industry leaders and experts to examine the issues and trends affecting the worldwide automotive aftermarket and influencing its future. In conjunction with this year’s GAAS, the Aftermarket eForum will be co-hosted at the Hyatt Regency that week.
The Aftermarket eForum will begin immediately after GAAS concludes on May 22 with an afternoon general session addressing executive-level IT and e-business topics, and will conclude on May 23 with a variety of breakout sessions that explore technology issues in greater depth. Babcox Media editorial staff will be on-hand to provide live coverage from the Aftermarket eForum as well.
