AMI Semiconductor Names Vice President of North American Sales

AMI Semiconductor, a designer and manufacturer of state-of-the-art integrated mixed-signal and structured digital products for the automotive, medical and industrial sectors, has appointed Peter Hansen to the post of vice president of North American sales.

POCATELLO, IDAHO — AMI Semiconductor, a designer and manufacturer of state-of-the-art integrated mixed-signal and structured digital products for the automotive, medical and industrial sectors, has appointed Peter Hansen to the post of vice president of North American sales.

In this role, Hansen will be responsible for managing the North American sales team and development of strategic alliances for targeted growth markets consistent with the focused direction and vision of AMI Semiconductor, the company said. He is heading the sales force out of AMI Semiconductor’s Andover, Mass., office.

Hansen joins AMIS from Ikanos Communications, where he served as vice president of worldwide sales, where he focused on the pursuit of key design wins to secure company’s future years revenue plans. Prior to Ikanos, Hansen was vice president of worldwide sales for New Focus, a company specializing in optical components, and vice president of North and South American sales for IBM’s Microelectronics Division. Hansen also served in management roles at Actel Corporation, Toshiba America and Intel Corporation. He began his career at Beckman Instruments.
