America’s Automotive Trust Announces 4 ‘Signature Events’ At America’s Car Museum In 2017

The museum’s “Signature Events” will include Drive the Blues Away, the Wheels & Heels Annual Gala, Cigars & Cars and the Summer Ender Fender Bender.

America’s Automotive Trust (AAT), a not-for-profit dedicated to securing a vibrant future for the collector car industry, has announced four “Signature Events” for 2017, which will be held at LeMay – America’s Car Museum in Tacoma, Washington. AAT’s Signature Events include Drive the Blues Away, the Wheels & Heels Annual Gala, Cigars & Cars and the Summer Ender Fender Bender.

“We formed America’s Automotive Trust to ensure that our nation’s automotive legacy is celebrated and cherished,” said AAT President and CEO David Madeira. “The Signature Events we’re planning this year will help us safeguard the future of the collector car industry by providing the funding for many enthusiast activities and educational opportunities.”

The annual fundraising events – which collectively attract thousands of car buffs, music fans, motorcycle enthusiasts, cigar aficionados and other guests to Tacoma – include education for young adults interested in auto restoration, enthusiast driving events nationally and abroad, as well as an annual summit focused on securing America’s automotive heritage.

2017 AAT Signature Events will include:

  • Drive the Blues Away presented by the LeMay Family Collection Foundation | April 21: After a long and cold winter, Highway 9, Roeman and the Whereabouts and Nitewave will heat up the Pacific Northwest with a night of live music, where guests can enjoy gourmet light bites and tastings from local craft breweries, distilleries and wineries.
  • Wheels & Heels Annual Gala | June 3: AAT’s Wheels & Heels Annual Gala – themed “Fast & Furious” – is a soiree known for its spirited live auction of one-of-a-kind items and an explosive fireworks display. As AAT’s largest annual fundraiser, this year’s celebration presented by State Farm and the LeMay Family Collection Foundation will mark the five-year anniversary of LeMay – America’s Car Museum.
  • Cars & Cigars | July 28: A celebration of cars and cigars on the Anderson Plaza at America’s Car Museum will feature live music and tastings of local fare, spirits and wine guests will enjoy live music and Montecristo cigars.
  • Summer Ender Fender Bender | Sept. 9: This end-of-summer celebration will feature hundreds of vintage vehicles, from hot rods to exotics to motorcycles, on the Haub Family Field at America’s Car Museum as well as a driving tour, food, music and more.

AAT Signature Events help provide financial, marketing and administrative support to members of its alliance, formed in 2016. Together, AAT’s member entities host an array of classic car activities and programs designed to celebrate America’s automotive heritage.

AAT is currently comprised of four member entities: LeMay – America’s Car Museum, the RPM Foundation, Club Auto and the Concours Club. For more information on America’s Automotive Trust, visit americasautomotivetrust.org.
