American Axle President And CEO David Dauch Appointed Chairman

Dauch, a member of the board since 2009, has been serving as the company's president and CEO since September 2012. Since joining AAM in July 1995, he has served in positions of increasing responsibility including, most recently, president and chief operating officer.

DETROIT – The board of directors for American Axle & Manufacturing Holdings Inc. (AAM) has named current president and CEO David Dauch to the additional position of chairman, effective immediately.
 
"Naming David C. Dauch as chairman reflects his deep knowledge of AAM’s global business and operations and the high regard in which he is held by the board of directors," said Thomas Walker, the independent lead director of AAM’s board. "David has proven himself to be an outstanding and instrumental leader in the continued diversification of AAM’s product portfolio, customer base and global footprint. The board is confident that David’s experience and leadership, combined with the strong management team that has been assembled over the years, will take AAM successfully into the future."
