Allison Transmission Holdings Inc. announced that Judy Altmaier has been appointed to its board of directors, effective immediately. The appointment of Altmaier increases the size of the board to 11 members.
Altmaier served as the president of Exmark Manufacturing Co., a subsidiary of The Toro Co., from 2013 until her retirement in January 2019. Prior to that, she was vice president, operations and quality management of The Toro Co. from 2009 until 2013. Before joining Toro, Altmaier spent more than 25 years with Eaton Corp., holding positions of increasing responsibility, including vice president of operations, Auto Group Americas during 2009 and vice president, general manager global engine valve division in Turin, Italy, from 2007 until 2009. Altmaier joined Eaton in 1983 as an accountant.

Altmaier’s term will expire at the 2019 annual meeting of stockholders. In addition, she also will serve as a member of the board’s audit committee.
