ST. PAUL, MN — The Alliance of Automotive Service Providers (AASP) board of directors held its Fall Board meeting on Nov. 6 in Las Vegas, in conjunction with the 2004 AAPEX show. Representatives attended from AASP-New Jersey, AASP-Massachusetts/Rhode Island, AASP-Pennsylvania/Delaware and AASP-Minnesota.
The all day meeting included standard agenda items including the approval of board minutes, financial reports and membership statistics. Committee reports were presented from the Communications and Benefits Committees. The communication committee presented a new national Web site and new logo design. The Benefits committee announced the pursuit of five new benefits for AASP members under the direction of AASP’s new Benefit Director, Brad Walker.
2005 goals were discussed and documented. Highlights include supporting the Right to Repair Act, deepening the partnership with SCRS and providing additional benefits to members.
Other meeting highlights included the role of AASP in the EPA OEM Web Site Audit Process, the site selection for the AASP National Spring Board Meeting and the election of the 2005-2006 AASP Board of Directors.
