ALI and BFRC Form Strategic Safety Alliance

The Automotive Lift Institute, Inc. (ALI) and BFS Retail & Commercial Operations, LLC (BFRC) have entered into a Strategic Safety Alliance that will create a formal lift training program that promotes safety in the workplace.

CORTLAND, NY — The Automotive Lift Institute, Inc. (ALI) and BFS Retail & Commercial Operations, LLC (BFRC) have entered into a Strategic Safety Alliance that will create a formal lift training program that promotes safety in the workplace.

According to ALI President/CEO Bob O’Gorman, the focal point of this Strategic Safety Alliance compliments the Automotive Lift Institute’s mission of promoting the safe design, construction, installation and use of automotive lift products. BFRC comprises a family of household name companies in automotive maintenance, repair and tires. The company has nearly 23,000 teammates and more than 2,200 locations throughout North America.

“The safety of BFRC teammates is of paramount importance to our organization,” said Darrell Rowe, manager of Associate Education and Development at BFRC. “The development of a BFRC-corporate sponsored automotive lift training program that incorporates the safety materials developed by ALI is a win for both organizations. It is a strong move in favor of providing our teammates and indirectly, our customers, with the assurance of our company’s commitment to a safety-minded automotive environment.”

BFRC plans to circulate more than 150 safety videos and 3,000 Lifting Point Guides to its trainers providing formal lift safety training throughout the company’s network of repair and service centers. Now celebrating 60 years of supporting the mission of promoting the safe design, construction, installation and use of automotive lift products, ALI is an American National Standards Institute Accredited Standards Development Organization recognized for both developing and offering automotive lift safety materials throughout the automotive industry as well as operating an ISO Guide 65 Accredited Automotive Lift Certification Program that requires testing and validation by an OSHA Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory.
