THE NETHERLANDS – AkzoNobel announced it has finalized the $1.05 billion sale of its North American Decorative Paints business to U.S.-based PPG Industries Inc. The deal was originally announced on Dec. 14, 2012.
AkzoNobel continues to have a strong presence in North America through its Performance Coatings and Specialty Chemicals businesses, which have combined 2012 revenues of close to $3 billion and around 5,000 employees.
The new items represent more than 10 million vehicles in new coverage, PRT said.
