Aisin Group will participate for the first time at CES, Jan. 9-12, in Las Vegas. Aisin Seiki and Aisin AW will jointly exhibit and focus on three areas of R&D of next generation technology: zero emission, automated driving and connected cars.
The new exhibit will feature a pneumatic driving simulator, which will demonstrate the latest in automotive smart seat technology. Also, the ILY-Ai, Aisin’s three-wheeled personal mobility prototype vehicle, will be demonstrated. ILY-Ai meets diverse user needs by switching into four modes: vehicle, scooter, cart and carry.
Visitors can experience three smart seat technologies:
- Smart Seat Bolster: Automatically adjusts the seat to support the occupant by estimating upcoming lateral force based on navigation and vehicle information.
- Smart Relaxation Seat: Allows the seat to anticipate the best timing to activate the massage function based on road conditions and navigation information.
- Traffic Information Seat: Combining connected car technology, this system supports smooth driving by detecting and indicating real time traffic information with the display and vehicle seats.
The company says these products aim to convey the nature of Aisin’s commitment and ability to execute next-generation development projects. Aisin Group will continue to research and develop products and technologies with a priority of meeting customer expectations, and strive to further enhance its global leadership position as a Tier 1 automotive supplier.
