‘The Age Of Smart Equipment’ Panel To Be Featured At HDMA’s Off-Highway Dialogue

The Off-Highway Dialogue 2017 conference will kick off with an evening networking/welcome reception for speakers and attendees on Wednesday, Oct. 11, at the Isle Casino Hotel Bettendorf.

The Heavy Duty Manufacturers Association (HDMA) will host an expert technology panel, titled “The Age of Smart Equipment,” to be presented during next month’s Off-Highway Dialogue (OHD).

“The Age of Smart Equipment” will provide an interactive discussion around the increasingly advanced technologies that are gaining traction for mining, construction and industrial off-highway equipment. Each panelist brings expertise with development of actual components for smart equipment, designed with the OEMs specifications and end-users’ needs as top-of-mind. As a group, the panel will provide insights on what Tier 1 and Tier 2 manufacturers will need to focus on in order to design components that will have positive impacts in the areas of productivity, efficiency, safety and profitability for customers.

Panelists for this segment of the conference include Sandeep Kar, chief strategy officer at Fleet Complete, and Guillo Ornella, the lead advanced off highway technology manager from Dana Corp. (Italy). Brian Daugherty, chief technology officer of MEMA/HDMA, will be moderating the panel. A third panelist is expected to be named shortly.

HDMA’s Off-Highway Dialogue will be held Thursday, Oct. 12 at the Isle Casino Hotel Bettendorf in Bettendorf, Iowa. The location accommodates plant tours of John Deere facilities within the Quad Cities area for supplier manufacturer executives, a new element for the sixth annual conference.
