RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC — Applications for the 2004 Aftermarket Web Challenge are due Monday, Aug. 16.

The Aftermarket Web Challenge is the automotive aftermarket’s oldest and most recognized award for Web application excellence. It is sponsored by the Motor & Equipment Manufacturers Association (MEMA) Information Services Council (MIS Council) and is held in conjunction with the organization’s annual Fall Conference.

This year’s competition will focus on business-to-business extranets that connect manufacturers with their customers. Criteria include how well aftermarket manufacturers’ extranets streamline supply chain processes, reduce costs and improve relations with customers. Finalists will compete by presenting their applications during a 30-minute slot at the Annual MIS Council Fall Conference on Tuesday, Oct. 19.

The winning company will be announced at the annual conference banquet and during the annual AAPEX event in Las Vegas. Past winners include Delphi Product and Service Solutions, Dana Automotive Aftermarket Group and ArvinMeritor.

The Aftermarket Web Challenge is open to any MIS Council member company. Visit www.miscouncil.org/aftermarket/aftermarket.html to view the 2004 guidelines and to download the application.
