SAN ANTONIO, TX — The shareholders of Aftermarket Auto Parts Alliance, Inc. gathered in Boca Raton, FL, for the group’s annual winter meeting held Dec. 2-6. Each shareholder of the Alliance was represented.
The meeting is a culmination of the past year’s efforts of Auto Value/Bumper to Bumper parts stores and certified service centers. Reports and breakout meetings focusing on marketing, product and education were reviewed. New vendors were reviewed and approved and the 2007 marketing strategy was presented.
“Every year this meeting grows in attendance, from new shareholders and vendors to existing companies bringing more people,” said Richard Morgan, president and CEO of Aftermarket Auto Parts Alliance. “Besides the important business issues addressed at the meeting, our shareholders and vendors enjoy visiting with each other and spending one-on-one time strengthening their relationships away from the day-to-day distractions at the office.”
The highlight of the meeting was the unveiling of a new national program 100 percent supported by the shareholders of Auto Value/Bumper to Bumper the Charity Cars Campaign. Throughout 2007, WDs, parts stores, certified service centers and vendor partners will join together to present more than 500 refurbished cars to eligible domestic violence victims escaping the cycle of abuse. In the U.S., the Original 1-800 Charity Cars will organize the donation of vehicles while WDs and parts stores supply the parts, certified service centers supply their skills to bring the vehicles to roadworthy condition and participating vendor partners donate the needed parts.
