Advance Auto Parts Names Executive Vice President, Administration

Advance Auto Parts announced today that Elwyn Murray will join the company effective April 18, as executive vice president, administration. He will assume executive responsibility for the company's information technology, logistics and corporate purchasing departments and other administrative areas in the future. Murray also will join the company's executive committee.

ROANOKE, VA — Advance Auto Parts announced today that Elwyn Murray will join the company effective April 18, as executive vice president, administration. He will assume executive responsibility for the company’s information technology, logistics and corporate purchasing departments and other administrative areas in the future. Murray also will join the company’s executive committee.

Murray will report to Mike Coppola, executive vice president and COO. Coppola will assume the CEO position on May 18th at the company’s annual shareholders meeting.

Prior to this appointment, Murray served as senior vice president of store operations for Food Lion, based in Salisbury, NC, where he was employed for 16 years.
