ACDelco Becomes Platinum Sponsor of Women’s Board, Donates to Scholarship Program

ACDelco has committed to a "Platinum" sponsorship of the Car Care Council's 2004 Women’s Board activities. In addition, ACDelco has donated funds to the Women’s Board scholarship program, which will be awarding five scholarships to female students who are pursuing an education in automotive technology, with plans to enter the automotive field upon graduation.

BETHESDA, MD — ACDelco has committed to a “Platinum” sponsorship of the Car Care Council’s 2004 Women’s Board activities.

The Women’s Board expanded its sponsorship program in order to support all of the board’s activities for the year, which include industry outreach, consumer education and recruiting women to the industry, as well as serving as an advisory board to the “Be Car Care Aware” campaign.

In addition, ACDelco has donated funds to the Women’s Board scholarship program, which will be awarding five scholarships to female students who are pursuing an education in automotive technology, with plans to enter the automotive field upon graduation.

ACDelco, headquartered in Grand Blanc, Mich., markets automotive replacement parts and services worldwide under its brand name.

“ACDelco has been especially generous with their donations to the Women’s Board,” said Jennifer Tio, president of the Car Care Council Women’s Board. “I would like to extend my sincerest thanks to ACDelco for supporting our efforts to educate female consumers and encourage women to consider the automotive field as a career choice.”
