EVANSVILLE, Ind. — Accuride Corp. and Benecor Inc. said this week they are ending their UREA distribution partnership. The companies entered into a joint venture partnership in March 2008 to focus on building a Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF, also known as UREA) dispensing infrastructure.
According to Stephen Martin, general counsel for Accuride, cessation of the joint venture will give Accuride the time and resources to focus on its core businesses.
Benecor, however, plans to continue its focus on DEF.
“We look forward to continuing Benecor’s commitment to the DEF industry,” said Brendan Foster, president of Benecor. “We will continue to provide total DEF dispensing solutions to the diesel market and have already seamlessly transitioned current orders to Benecor."
