BETHESDA, MD — The Automotive Communications Council (ACC) has announced it will sponsor the 2004 Car Care Council’s Women’s Board activities at the “Silver” sponsorship level.
“The ACC is proud to sponsor the Woman’s Board and their important activities across our market,” said Jon Owens, president of ACC. “We share a common purpose with the Women’s Board, and that is to enhance communications with and public perception of our beloved industry.”
ACC is a national, non-profit organization comprised of marketing professionals engaged in public relations, advertising, branding and other communication practices for automotive aftermarket companies. ACC provides a networking forum for the exchange of ideas, information and resources about issues, challenges and trends impacting companies and organizations throughout the aftermarket industry. The council was founded in 1941 and is the oldest continuously operating council in the automotive sales and marketing field.
The Car Care Council Women’s Board recently expanded its sponsorship program in order to support all of the Women’s Board activities for the year. Activities include industry outreach, consumer education and recruiting women to the industry, as well as serving as an advisory board to the “Be Car Care Aware” campaign.
