The Automotive Communications Council (ACC) is hosting its 2019 annual conference this week in San Antonio, Texas, at the historic Menger Hotel. A full agenda focusing on the latest industry marketing trends will take place April 9-10. The event began last night with an informal reception welcoming all attendees to the conference. Tomorrow and Thursday, AMN will share blog posts from ACC attendees. Today, we kick off with an introduction from Sara Longardner, communications manager for MANN+HUMMEL, who shared a few thoughts from last night’s welcome reception.

Steps away from The Alamo, in a tucked-away courtyard, we gathered to celebrate the 2019 opening reception of the annual Automotive Communications Council (ACC).  Warm sun, friendly handshakes and pleasant conversation dominated the evening, ushering in yet another successful year for the ACC.

Since 1941, the ACC has been a source of education, networking and industry best practices for marketing professionals in the automotive aftermarket. While the reception is just the start of this full, two-day conference, there’s no doubt it’ll be a great event. For the next two days, we’ll hear from trend-setting speakers, share discussions and take part in a unique group activity on the San Antonio riverfront.

An exciting addition in 2019 is the ACC’s “give back” initiative. This year, the ACC has sponsored one lucky college student to attend the event, learn more about our industry and take home some valuable marketing insight. It’s just one of the great things coming out of the organization. This week, San Antonio is the place to be!  And the Mexican food options can’t be beat either!

While geared toward professional development and education, the ACC conferences are the perfect place to share ideas with fellow colleagues and go back refreshed and ready to take on a new challenge.

Stay tuned for details on our exciting 2020 event – it’s already in the works and will be amazing!
