AASA Overseas Automotive Council Names First Leadership 2.0 Scholarship Recipient

Daniel Tristan of SPECTROLINE is the first recipient of the council’s Leadership 2.0 scholarship for the 2016-’17 session.

The Overseas Automotive Council (OAC) of the Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association (AASA) announced today that Daniel Tristan, international sales manager for SPECTROLINE in Westbury, New York, has been selected as the first recipient of the council’s scholarship for the University of the Aftermarket’s 2016-’17 Leadership 2.0.

AASA - OAC - Logo“AASA and OAC are pleased to provide Daniel with this support to further develop his leadership abilities and to enhance his career in the global aftermarket,” said Bill Long, AASA president and chief operating officer. “This Leadership 2.0 scholarship is just one example of AASA’s commitment to advancing the international business interests of the industry and our North American aftermarket supplier members.”

“The OAC is proud to have Daniel represent the council during his participation in Leadership 2.0,” said Mick Jordan, OAC chairman, vice president of marketing, Cloyes Gear & Products Inc. and recent Leadership 2.0 graduate. “As one of the oldest and most unique organizations in the aftermarket, the OAC will continue this scholarship as an investment in our industry’s future.”

Leadership 2.0 is the industry’s cornerstone educational program that fosters the development of a new generation of visionary aftermarket executives. The program is an intense and intellectually challenging two-week executive development and learning experience deeply rooted in the theoretical and practical application of automotive aftermarket leadership principles.

The scholarship will be available again to OAC members or employees of member companies for the 2017-’18 University of the Aftermarket Leadership 2.0 program. Details about the Leadership 2.0 program are available here.
