AAPEX Now Accepting Entries for New Packaging Showcase

Entries are now being accepted for the New Packaging Showcase at the 2006 Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX), Tuesday, Oct. 31 – Thursday, Nov. 2, in Las Vegas. Exhibitors are encouraged to participate and gain added exposure and recognition for their innovative packaging designs and concepts.

ORLAND PARK, IL — Entries are now being accepted for the New Packaging Showcase at the 2006 Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX), Tuesday, Oct. 31 – Thursday, Nov. 2, in Las Vegas. Exhibitors are encouraged to participate and gain added exposure and recognition for their innovative packaging designs and concepts.

“The New Packaging Showcase is in a high-traffic area (the Upper Lobby of the Sands) and right next to the New Product Showcase. As a result, participating companies get very good visibility and exposure for their packaging designs and concepts,” said Bill Glasgow, Sr., AAPEX show manager.

In addition to the on-site display, New Packaging Showcase entries will be available on the AAPEX Web site ( www.AAPEXShow.com ) in the New Product & New Packaging Showcase Search. Exhibitors and attendees can search by title and/or category, producing a hyper-linked list to all participating AAPEX exhibitors’ company descriptions and new packaging descriptions.

A panel of judges from Northwood University will judge all New Packaging entries based on the following criteria: merchandising value, shelf life, graphic design, originality and size of package. Winners will be announced Oct. 31, at 1 p.m., in front of the New Packaging Showcase.

Only new packaging introduced after the AAPEX 2005 show through the AAPEX 2006 show qualifies as new packaging. Each new packaging entry is $295 if submitted on or before Aug. 1. Entries received between Aug. 1 and Sept. 1 will be $350 per entry. There is no limit to the number of entries a company can submit, however, space in the showcase is limited.

AAPEX 2006 will be held Tuesday, Oct. 31, through Thursday, Nov. 2, at the Sands Expo Center in Las Vegas. Due to heavy demand for exhibit space for the 2006 show, AAPEX exhibits this year will also occupy the entire Venetian Ballroom.
